Why choose WMC?
Our staff:
We recruit people who believe in our mission to put the camper first. Our staff gives each person the focus and compassion they deserve, and they have fun doing it. Based on our alumni, we know that we employ future teachers, social workers, coaches, pastors, engineers, architects, business owners, nurses, caretakers, and community leaders.
Our Facilities:
Surrounded by the Council Grove Reservoir, our camp is as close as you can get to being on an island in the center of the United States! Wide open prairie with pockets of forest and the wildlife to keep it interesting. Why stop at a lake? We have an in-ground swimming pool, High Ropes Course with climbing walls and Zip Lines, Target Range, hiking trails, Outdoor Amphitheater, outdoor sports fields and courts, and a large dining hall for meals, indoor activities and shows. Our outdoor chapel, Vesper Point, is famous amongst our camp community for its gorgeous sunsets. Did we mention each cabin room has its own bathroom and shower? Cabins are air conditioned, and campers have space to store their personal belongings.
Our Program:
We’re the perfect size. Our max capacity is 120 guests and our average camp size ranges from 30 – 60 campers each week. We can offer the same adventure-packed camp with a personalized experience, the chance to build closer friendships, and opportunity to meet all of your fellow campers to build your own community. Staff can adapt activities and programming to better fit each unique collection of campers as they get to know the group. No matter which camp you sign up for, you’ll have plenty of delicious food, outdoor exploration, new games, and hearty laughs.
